ASSESSMENTS
Paediatric OT Assessments in Ottawa
An occupational therapy assessment gives you and your OT a clear picture of how your child manages everyday tasks, and where support would help most. Assessments take place at home, at school or online, wherever your child is most comfortable, anywhere in Ottawa.

WHY START WITH AN ASSESSMENT
A clear starting point for your child
Understand strengths and challenges
See what’s going well and where everyday tasks are harder, explained in plain language.
Goals that matter to your family
Set practical goals together, based on what you see at home and what teachers notice at school.
A plan you can follow
Leave with clear next steps: a block of sessions, a home program or strategies for school.
Assessed in a familiar place
Your child is seen where they live, learn and play, so the OT sees how skills show up day to day.
A baseline for progress
Findings become a starting point, so you and your OT can track progress over time.
Ready for insurance or school
A written report is available if you need one for an extended health claim or for your school.
