Occupational Therapy for Kids in Gloucester
Ottawa OT brings paediatric occupational therapy to children and teens in Gloucester. Our registered occupational therapists visit homes, schools and daycares. Online sessions are another option.

Gloucester stretches across Ottawa's east and south-east. Because we are mobile, your child can get OT without a trip to a clinic.

Where we work with your child
At home
Daily routines are easiest to change where they happen. At home we can work on getting dressed, mealtimes, bath and bedtime routines, and organizing a space for homework.
At school
Gloucester families are served by the OCDSB, OCSB, CEPEO and CECCE. Schools decide how they work with outside providers. With the school's agreement and your consent, we can see your child at school. School-based goals often include printing, cutting, organization and coping with the busy parts of the day.
At daycare
Where a centre agrees, we can see younger children at daycare or preschool. Goals might include play skills, using crayons and scissors, and moving smoothly between activities.
Online
Online OT can suit handwriting practice, planning skills and parent coaching. It can also keep things on track when an in-person visit is not possible.
Reasons families in Gloucester reach out
Some common concerns we hear:
Handwriting. Letters that are hard to read, or printing that tires your child quickly.
Executive function. Trouble starting tasks, staying organized or following multi-step instructions.
Self-care skills. Dressing, using utensils and other everyday tasks that seem harder than expected.
Sensory needs. Difficulty with noise, crowds, clothing or new foods.
You can start without a referral or a diagnosis.
