Adrienne Woolf

Ottawa Occupational Therapist

Providing occupational therapy services in Ottawa

Adrien Woolf | Ottawa Occupational Therapy

Adrienne is an internationally educated Occupational Therapist who trained at St Loye’s School of Occupational Therapy in Exeter, England, graduating in 1991. She now calls Ottawa home and is licensed to provide OT services in Ontario.

Before emigrating from England, Adrienne worked primarily as a community-based occupational therapist with adults. In recent years her experience has become more specialized in pediatrics. Her work has spanned a variety of settings, providing services in-your-home, at clinics, community centres and churches.

When asked what makes her work fulfilling, Adrienne was quick to respond "having an opportunity to make a difference in a child’s life through play makes for a great
workday!"

Adrienne considers it a privilege to work with children and their families to
achieve functional goals. Her programs will make a positive impact on the relationship you have with your child and help relieve the challenges that come with your busy family life.

Adrienne has experience working with both pre-school and school-aged
demographics and has the knowledge to determine the unique needs of every child. Sessions are designed to be engaging and fun, incorporating activities specifically designed to develop important fundamental skills.

As a consummate professional, Adrienne is continually advancing her professional
knowledge and abilities to best serve you. Some of the courses and workshops she has completed include:

  • Bachelor of Science Occupational Therapy, St Loye's School of Occupational Therapy in Exeter

  • Ontario Brain Injury Association Brain Basics

  • Becoming a Behavioural Detective with Kim Barthel

  • Introduction to Trans-Inclusive Healthcare

  • Integrated Listening Systems - Safe and Sound Protocol

  • Visual Perception in the Classroom

  • Developing Cognitive Skills Through Play

  • Therapeutic Strategies to Enhance Child and Family-Centred Communication

  • Healing Intergenerational Trauma Through the Parent-Child Relationship

In her personal time, Adrienne enjoys connecting with her family and friends with board games, movie nights, and embracing the outdoors through hiking, camping, or canoeing. Some of her hobbies and pastimes are jigsaw puzzles, crosswords, baking, capturing nature in photographic form, and enjoying a cup of tea and a really good book!

Adrienne joined the Ottawa Occupational Therapy team of occupational therapists in 2021.
